Who should be the recipient of the 2016 Equity Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Foxtel?
2015 recipient Grant Page enjoys his Lifetime Achievement award ceremony surrounded by friends and family.
This unique award was launched in 2009 to honour the achievements of a leading Australian performer who has had a distinguished career and been an inspiration to other Australian performers.
It is an award nominated by performers – an opportunity for those in the industry to give due recognition to one of their own; not only for what they have achieved during their career as a performer, but as someone who has, by their own example, demonstrated great leadership and provided mentoring that has been of enormous benefit and inspiration to our colleagues. They have made a lifelong commitment to Equity and the industry as a whole and the kind of person everyone wants to work with and for those lucky to have done so, it has been an extraordinarily memorable experience.
Last year’s recipient was Legendary Australian stunt performer Grant Page. Grant’s career spans more than five decades and he has more than 200 Australian and international titles to his name, from Mad Max to Mission Impossible 2. Grant helped to formulate the industry’s first Film Safety Code and initiated several innovative stunt techniques now adopted internationally. He is also the author of several works, including Man on Fire: A Stunt of a Life.
Is there someone you feel is an incredible, talented and generous performer but also known as a great mentor and a supporter of the next generation?
Nominations have now closed. The final decision will be made by your National Performers Committee.
