Who should be the recipient of the 2018 Equity Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Foxtel?
Noeline Brown and Tina Bursill
This unique award was launched in 2009 to honour the achievements of a leading Australian performer who has had a distinguished career and been an inspiration to other Australian performers.
It is an award nominated by performers – an opportunity for those in the industry to give due recognition to one of their own; not only for what they have achieved during their career as a performer, but as someone who has, by their own example, demonstrated great leadership and provided mentoring that has been of enormous benefit and inspiration to our colleagues. They have made a lifelong commitment to Equity and the industry as a whole and the kind of person everyone wants to work with and for those lucky to have done so, it has been an extraordinarily memorable experience.
Last year’s recipient was Noeline Brown. With a career in the entertainment industry spanning more than 50 years, Noeline has long delighted Australian audiences with her performances on stage, screen, radio and television. Noeline is also highly regarded in the performer community for her involvement with the Actors Benevolent Fund of NSW, an organisation that provides financial assistance to performers during times of severe hardship.
Is there someone you feel is an incredible, talented and generous performer but also known as a great mentor and a supporter of the next generation?
