Work on Australia’s longest running TV show

on .

This year one lucky student Equity member in their final year of drama school will have the opportunity spend a week working alongside the cast and crew of Neighbours.

The one week internship will provide a unique opportunity to go behind-the-scenes of this hugley successful Australian television production and spend time with key cast members as well as the casting, wardrobe, scheduling, script, art make-up and editing departments.

Neighbours producer Natalie Lynch says: “Neighbours and FremantleMedia is thrilled to work with MEAA on this fantastic initiative and we can't wait to welcome the successful applicant to the show.”

 Applications have now closed.

Media Super CEO Graeme Russell says: “Some of Media Super’s higher-profile members have gone on to great success through being part of the Neighbours alumni. It’s an Australian institution that employs talented members of the Media Super community on screen, behind the camera and in production. We’re rapt to support the Equity Foundation and FremantleMedia in providing a paid internship that will be a significant boost to an emerging performer looking to build a long and successful career. As the industry’s own super fund, this is a small way in which we can support our community and help build a stronger creative arts industry in Australia."

INTERNSHIP DETAILS

The internship will be offered to a full-time drama student in their last year of formal study at an accredited drama school, nationwide.

The successful applicant will also be paid at the appropriate award rate. Accommodation and return flights to Melbourne will be covered, if necessary, together with a small stipend each day.

The winner would be expected to take up the internship prior to finishing their studies at a mutually agreed upon time with Fremantle Media.

The intern will be required to complete a written article for The Equity Magazine and short video about their experience.
