We are thrilled to announce a special opportunity to workshopping text with celebrated international screen-acting coach and multi award winning actress, Miranda Harcourt.
Every actor will have the opportunity to workshop a scene and explore different approaches to text. You will work on your skills in the morning and you will shoot your scenes in the afternoon which will all be from current feature films and tv. This will help each actor transform their work, achieving authenticity and complexity.
Bio of host: Miranda is a celebrated international screen-acting coach. A multi-award-winning actress herself, she brings a diverse range of experiences and techniques to her work with actors of all ages and stages.
She has prepared actors to deliver powerful, critically acclaimed performances on a range of international films including, Bridge to Terabithia (2007, Gabor Csupo), Bright Star (2009, Jane Campion), The Lovely Bones (2009, Peter Jackson), Home by Christmas (2010, Gaylene Preston) and Soul Surfer (2011, Sean McNamara).
Miranda helps actors inhabit an authentic emotional world for their character which answers a director’s vision. She works all over the world in person and by skype.
In her work as an on-set coach Miranda has had the opportunity of working alongside and observing the on-set practice of actors such as Susan Sarandon, Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weiss, Helen Hunt, Dennis Quaid, Ryan Gosling, Robert Patrick and Zooey Deschanel amongst others.
