This masterclass allows participants to release their movement potential allowing them to focus fully on transmitting information using an atypical system of movement development. Fellow class mates are given the opportunity to provide movement impetus by communicating and transferring original spatial pathways to inform parts of the body to respond to simple tracings of lines or curves in space. Patterns and groupings emerge that carry collective ideas that have the appearance of fluid movement all made without judgement because brain's left and right hemispheres are constantly transmitting and swapping responsibility, working hard to recall and respond to ideas. An approach to movement from a place that is not constrained by location in an historic aesthetic or what we believe ‘dance’ is. The class will be a series of ideas that guide you into action and ideas about space and the body with no actual choreographic mimicry, instruction or imperative. This class is specially designed for actors and will provide easily accomplished, useful information and an invaluable skill set to release movement potential and offer strategies for generating new movement ideas that you might not have otherwise explored.
