Event description:

Matthew Tucker, CPA, will go through all the things you need to know for tax time with Media Super financial planner, Marcus Briggs, covering the superanuation requirements for tax time. Topics covered include: How can you get the best return and how to make it easier for your accountant: Tax concessions available to performing artists and special professionals: How does the recent federal budget affect me? Running a business?  What are the differences from an employee? Tips for record keeping: Things to consider prior to June 30.

Bio of hosts:    

Matt Tucker
has been with the practice (Brian Tucker Accounting) since 1999, is a qualified CPA and holds a Practicing Certificate. He has previously served on the boards of Playlab and 4ZZZ, has volunteered for Transit Lounge and spoken for YAQ, QPIX, MEAA and Griffith University Film School. Matt has a passion for music and film, having played drums in a number of bands over the years and more recently producing his first short film.  Marcus Briggs' qualifications include a Master of Financial Planning from Griffith University and a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland.
