Event description:

Spend two days with Australian-based, Melissa Bruder, founder of Practical Aesthetics Australia, the official Sydney annex of the Atlantic Acting School in New York. This an opportunity for experienced actors to be introduced to Practical Aesethics. Melissa will work with actors on demystifying the process of acting, giving each actor an empowering set of analytical and physical tools. Participants will be required to memorise a short scene, which will then be used in class to learn the 4-step PA Script Analysis technique. We will also look at the Repetition Exercise (PA-style) as a way of staying spontaneous in the scene, and working off the other actor/actors. Together, these elements combine to allow the actor to bring the most relevant truth of him/herself, and to tell the story in the most free and compelling way possible. Successful applicants are advised to read A Practical Handbook for the Actor

*Please note that this masterclass will be pitched to experienced actors who have completed a three year acting degree or who have worked professionally as an actor for over three years.
