Event description:

Want to get more work? It is your body which gives your work authenticity or lets you down. The Alexander Technique empowers you and gives your work a deeper grounding by identifying excessive and unwanted postural and movement habits which interfere with your performance. The resulting ease and freedom opens your instrument (body) allowing you to breathe efficiently, be on your voice and in your body so that you can easily find your characters and their spontaneity, presence, connections to scene partners, emotions, intentions and actions. Come and explore this empowering Technique which is used by many actors the world over to launch & sustain their long careers. Successful attendees will need to wear comfy clothing - bring a monologue of a paragraph length and bring four books.
