This is an opportunity to spend three hours refreshing your US accent in preparation for Pilot Season. Anna will concentrate on General American and successful applicants will need to bring a 1 min monologue and a 1 minute dialogue scene (with a copy for a partner) - both prepared in General American.

Anna McCrossin-Owen is a Voice Coach specialising in voice technique, text skills & dialects in performance. She works internationally in film (Z for Zachariah, The Road) and television Pan Am (Sony Pictures, American Broadcasting Corporation). Students currently work in the US, UK and Canada. Locally Anna coaches in theatre (including a long standing relationship with Melbourne Theatre Company), television, film, music theatre, animation, voice over & in her private studio. Recent projects as Voice/Dialect Coach include- The Family Law- Series 1 & 2, The Kettering Incident, Last Five Years, Cliffy, Please Like Me, Gypsy, Sweeney Todd. Film- Winchester- Spearing Brothers and the Musical- The Bodyguard. Anna trains journalists in video presentation & voice over for on-line news for Fairfax Digital/The Age/Domain. She is currently Lecturer in Spoken Voice at the Victorian College of the Arts, School of Contemporary Music. A graduate of VCA herself, Anna acted & sang professionally for 25 years. As a Director credits include- Much Ado About Nothing, Romeo & Juliet & A Comedy of Errors for Essential Theatre, Romeo & Juliet for Bravehearts at Australian Shakespeare Company, inthecompanyofpleasure's A Trilogy of Revolution for Melbourne Festival and solo, community, opera and musical projects. Anna has been honoured by the Victorian Green Room Association with a special award for 'Outstanding Contribution to the Melbourne Stage.
