Natasha McNamara a graduate of WAAPA Performing Arts and NIDA Voice Studies. She is a voice coach and dialect professional with over 15-years of experience. She has worked with Master vocal teachers Cicely Berry, Barbara Houseman, Kristin Linklater and Patsy Rodenburg and works with many of Australia’s leading and up-and coming actors on perfecting their vocal technique. As a vocal and dialect coach Natasha’s career spans both theatre and the film and television mediums. Her film and TV credits include vocal coach on the John Marsden classic fiction series Tomorrow When the War Began; accent and vocal coach on US network NBC series, Camp starring Rachel Griffiths, The Devils Playground starring Toni Collete, Hoges with Ryan Corr and The Water Diviner with Russel Crowe. In the theatre world, Natasha is a sought-after dialect coach and often works as a vocal and accent coach for Bell Shakespeare, Belvoir Theatre, Ensemble Theatre, Griffin Theatre and Sydney Theatre Company. Natasha is a regular NIDA Open program tutor and Actor’s Centre tutor. She taught the voice component of the full-time actors' course at NIDA for three years. Natasha now runs her own vocal and accent coaching business, where she specialises in working one-on-one with actors and corporate business men and women to help them discover their free and open voice. Teaching people to speak with more freedom and authenticity is her passion.
