Self Testing 101 With Emily Joy

Event description:

During this 3-hour introduction to Self Testing, Emily Joy will focus on the basics of camera operation, lighting, sound and sending for actors who are NEW to self testing. This is the an opportunity for members to take advantage of the Equity Self Test Studio. Please note: This workshop is focused on people who are NEW to the process of self-testing.

Bio of host:
Emily Joy is the owner of Joy Studio – a boutique acting studio in Melbourne. Her actors have secured countless roles for major film and television projects including Picnic At Hanging Rock, Jack Irish Season 2, Stan’s Romper Stomper, Hamish and Andy’s True Story, Kim Farrant’s Angel of Mine, BBC’s The Cry, and Leigh Whannell’s Upgrade and more. Emily has taught at the University of Canberra and Dan Hamill Performance Coaching as well as worked as a casting assistant for Greg Apps. Emily studied at NIDA Young Actors Studio and has an Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts from Southbank Institute of Technology (Now University of Canberra). As an actor, she is best known for Red Billabong and will be seenin the upcoming feature Occupation.
