Event description:

A fun filled 3 hour workshop specifically for actors wanting a healthy and happy balance between their professional and private lives. This experiential workshop will build connectedness and holistic practices as we reinterpret the old stories that may no longer work for us, replacing them with narratives of enthusiasm, health and joy.

Please bring with you a journal, pens, a yoga mat or towel for simple yoga practices, and a water bottle.

Bio of host:
Margi Brown Ash’s original works include Home (Queensland Theatre, La Boite, Metro Arts); Eve (Metro Arts, Blue Room, Brisbane Powerhouse); He Dreamed a Train (Brisbane Powerhouse); Joey the Mechanical Boy (Blue Room); Metis (Blue Room) and This Silent Thing (Perth). Recently Margi performed in Prize Fighter (Brisbane Festival & La Boite, Sydney Festival & Belvoir, National Tour); The Wider Earth (Queensland Theatre & Sydney Festival); I Want to Know What Love Is (Brisbane Powerhouse & Chapel off Chapel). Margi has her own coaching studio 4change coaching and counselling and is Co-Artistic Director of the multi-award winning Nest Ensemble and FORCE OF CIRCUMSTANCE, theatre companies dedicated to creating positive change through performance. Margi’s recent PhD focuses on artists’ wellbeing and will be adapted and published in 2019. She is an Ambassador of State Library Queensland; Taos Institute Associate; Member of National Artistic Team Queensland Theatre, guest lecturer QUT, Artist in Residence, Curtin University and facilitator at Arteles Creative Centre, Finland.
