Event description:

This will be an interactive, introductory session on the Alexander Technique. It will give you insight into the main principles of the work and the processes involved in integrating it into your life. It is also an opportunity to begin discovering how the Technique can help you and bring your intentions more easily into the world.

Bio of host:
I have been teaching the Alexander Technique for 11 years having trained with Meredith Page a former teacher/trainer at the Carrington school, London. Alongside my private practise I have been fortunate to share my experience overseas touring New Zealand for the Harp Society and closer to home with drama students at QUT and ACPA; also with sections of the Australian Youth Orchestra program and in an ongoing capacity at Griffith University drama dept. Embodying the Technique helps me to experience a general ease in my body and to enjoy more freedom. Having awareness of the way in which I respond to life enables me to feel more connected to myself and my environment. I have learnt and continue to learn so much from the Technique and am passionate to share my understanding with others.
