We’re giving an Equity student member (graduated 2019) the chance to spend a week on the set of iconic Australian TV series, Neighbours.
This is a unique chance to learn the ropes of fast-paced TV production from the highly-experienced cast and crew and make invaluable connections for your future career.

COVID-19 UPDATE
Thank you to all final year acting students who applied for our Neighbours Internship. We received more 130 applications. The casting department at Fremantle will view and assess all self tests in the coming weeks and we will announce the winner. However the timing of the internship will be dependent on when filming resumes. A suitable time in the latter half of 2020 will be decided between Equity, Fremantle and the winner.
INTERNSHIP DETAILS
-The internship will be offered to an Equity student member (Aus or NZ) who graduated an accredited drama school in 2019.
-The successful applicant will be paid at the appropriate award rate. Accommodation and return flights to Melbourne will be covered, if necessary, together with a daily per diem.
-The internship will take place in 2020 at a time mutually agreed between the winner and Fremantle.
APPLICATION DETAILS
-You will be required to submit a self-test, with a provided script.

-Applications open Thursday January 23, 2020 and close MIDNIGHT AEST Thursday Feb 20, 2020.
-Five finalists will be announced in mid-March and the winner will be announced in April, 2020.
THE SELF-TEST
-You will apply via a direct Showcast link. You do not need to be a member of Showcast to apply.
-On the application page you will find links to 3 script options. They are all two handers with a male and female.
-Applicants to choose ONE script and put forward only ONE test for consideration.
-Slate, to begin with, name, age, agency (if applicable), height.
-Slate, to include side to front (actors physical profile).
-Auditionee can’t wear clothes with logo.
-Test no longer than 10 mins.
-Make sure a camera phone is held correctly: horizontally with the camera facing up and not upside down.
-Making sure you watch the footage back for sound and picture quality (making sure the footage is working correctly).

-Self-tests will be viewed by the casting department of Neighbours. Their decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
