The Equity Foundation is thrilled to be collaborating with the Atlantic Acting School, MEAA and Showcast to once again offer an Australian performer the opportunity to further their acting education full-time in New York City.
The six-week Spring Comprehensive (tuition valued at $US3,000) will take place in New York City from May 20-June 28, 2024. The winner will also receive a cash prize of $AU10,000 to assist with the flights and accommodation.

•The Scholarship covers Atlantic tuition fees and a financial contribution of $AU10,000 towards accommodation, flights, meals, insurance and incidentals which are the responsibility of the winner.
•There is one place available in this program. The winner will attend the Atlantic Acting School for six weeks from May 20, 2024.

•Shortlisted applicants will be required to participate in a phone interview with judges.
•The winner will be chosen by a panel of industry experts and announced at the end of March 2024.
THE ATLANTIC ACTING SCHOOL
Founded by David Mamet and William H. Macy, the Atlantic has the only conservatory program in the world that offers in-depth training in Mamet and Macy’s unique and influential approach to acting: Practical Aesthetics, the Atlantic Technique. The school’s mission is to ensure that each graduate masters the essential analytical and physical disciplines of acting and to empower every student with skills necessary for success in the profession.
THE SPRING COMPREHENSIVE
Running for six weeks, the Spring Comprehensive is a rigorous program that challenges students to embody Atlantic’s Acting Technique, Practical Aesthetics – as outlined in A Practical Handbook for the Actor. Students will be instructed in a disciplined approach in these courses: Script Analysis, Moment Lab, Performance Technique, and Voice. Each day, students will build their grounding in the truthful storytelling and collaboration that drives Atlantic. Classes are held Monday through Friday between the hours of 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
