Synopsis

Are you interested in shooting a short film (via a smart phone) over three livestream workshop sessions?  A short film that you might be interested in submitting to a short film festival? This is an opportunity to work with Angela Blake who will guide you over three 90-minute livestream sessions each scheduled a week apart. During the process, Angela will advise on story, production and post production so you will have an (almost) final film. The final session will be a showing of everyone’s short films. Criteria: Four Equity members will be randomly selected.  They will then commit to working with another Equity member (of their choice) to work on producing a smart phone short film (between 30 seconds and no longer than three minutes). Once a member has been selected they have 14 days to work with their Equity partner to produce a rough cut (can be just a few scenes) to show at the first session.  Angela will then give advice and feedback on story, production, post production so you can reshoot (if necessary) and bring their cut back for the second session. Further feedback will mean that you have an (almost) final short film to show at the third and final session. Auditors (observers) will be there as an audience and provide feedback and to also learn from this process. Please note: The livestreams are scheduled for Thursday October 31, Thursday November 7, Thursday November 14, from 12-1.30pm AEDT.  If chosen as an actor participant you need to attend all three sessions. There will be observers at these sessions. Unsuccessful applicants will be sent  Zoom link to observe all sessions.
