Synopsis

Television commercials are often the first opportunity a newly represented actor will have. You may even find commercials helmed by major feature directors that you’ve always wanted to work with. Yet we often underestimate these opportunities especially when they arrive with challenging deadlines, pages of instructions and uninspiring content.  The focus of this two-week workshop is changing your perspective and finding a process of script analysis that can improve your booking ratio. A strong commercial game can make a huge difference to your financial freedom. Julian is currently all over Australian and NZ television in the popular UBER Eats/Bridgerton campaign (with Nicola Coughlan) and on US screens in the James Bond  themed VINFAST commercial opposite Joey Lawrence of Blossom fame. Over two weeks, Julian will host a seminar on analysing television commercial copy (Part 1 - September 19) and then up to twelve actors will be invited to submit a self-tape for a script provided (Part 2 - September 26) for workshopping and redirection. Please note: Please apply separately to work with Julian in week two's workshop on September 26. You can also apply to observe this workshop. This Livestream will take place at 10am-11.30am AEST and 12-1.30 pm NZ time.
