Synopsis

Join US comedy guru, casting director and talent manager Jodi Collins (who discovered Kate McKinnon), as she chats to Australian actor and theatremaker Amy Ingram about the ins and outs of the comedy business and how you can bring your unique style and experience to the table as an actor or as someone looking to create their own content, comedic or otherwise. Their conversation will cover what really goes on behind the scenes of the comedy business, how to develop your stories and look at how one might translate those into a potentially viable tv/film content from either Australia or the US, how to stay in this biz for the long haul and how to feel empowered to navigate the entertainment industry in the US and beyond.  Please bring along any burning questions you may have to throw into the mix as there will be opportunity for Jodi to address these. Please note:  This event will take place at 11am Australian Eastern Daylight NSW/VIC/TAS time and 1pm in New Zealand.
