Synopsis

Equity's Live Stream Program continues with Equity member Remy Hii (Crazy Rich Asians, Spider Man: Far from Home) as our guest. As an actor who works in Australia and the US this is a great opportunity to discuss how he manages his career. Please note: 12pm is Australian Eastern Standard Time. Selection is by ballot and successful participants will be sent details about how to tune it.

    Remy Hii is a professional actor, hobbyist photographer, and budding home chef. He most recently appeared in Jon Watt’s SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, the second series of the ABC drama HARROW and the CBS pilot JANE THE NOVELA. His other screen credits include Network Ten’s SISTERS, the Netflix epic drama MARCO POLO, Paul Currie’s 2:22 and the critically acclaimed Warner Bros feature CRAZY RICH ASIANS directed by John M. Chu. In 2013, Remy Hii starred as Van Nguyen in the gripping SBS drama BETTER MAN. He received the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Outstanding Newcomer and an AACTA Award nomination for Best Lead Actor in a Television Drama for his role in the production. His Sydney Theatre Company debut was in THE GOLDEN AGE, and he has also worked as an actor for Playwriting Australia and the Queensland Theatre Company in several stage productions. Remy is a graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA, 2011)
