Synopsis

A chance for agent David Sheridan of Marquee Management to talk to MEAA National Vice President Tiffany Lyndall-Knight about the actor/agent relationship and the current and future state of the industry. There will be plenty of time for questions from the audience. Please note: This event is at 12-1pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) and 2-3pm NZ time.

    David set up Marquee Management in 2004 as a management styled agency that cares for a select group of rising as well as established actors, writers, directors and key creatives in the film, theatre and television business. A pro-active agency Marquee focuses on the individual clients needs as well as supporting their ideas and projects in development and onto production in film, television and theatre. After completing his degree at the Australian Film and Television School David worked for 2 years at Palm Beach Pictures as a Producer and Development Executive before working at the Australian Film Commission as a Project Manager. Then after working with Morrissey Management both as a Producer and Packaging Agent, David opened Marquee where he works in partnership with Matt Andrews. https://marqueemgt.com.au/
  • Tiffany Lyndall-Knight

    Tiffany Lyndall-Knight is an actor, director, and Lecturer in Drama at Flinders University. She has performed with theatre companies across Australia and Canada, including State Theatre Company South Australia, Queensland Theatre, Vancouver’s Arts Club Stanley Theatre, Manitoba Theatre Centre and eight seasons with Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival. Tiffany originated Emily Steel's multi award-winning solo show,19 weeks, garnering Curtain Call Awards for Best Professional Drama and Best Professional Female Performer. On screen she has appeared in many leading and recurring roles, including Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1, Wanted, ANZAC Girls, Da Vinci’s City Hall and A Sunburnt Christmas, which she also dramaturged. Tiffany has worked as a teaching artist with the University of Adelaide’s Elder Conservatorium of Music, Adelaide College of the Arts and the University of British Columbia. She works as dialect and voice coach with private clients and companies including State Theatre Company South Australia, STAN, Heesom Casting, NHK and Netflix. Tiffany was awarded a PhD in Theatre from Flinders University in 2018 and was the recipient of the Vice Chancellor’s Prize for Doctoral Thesis Excellence. She recently co-authored a book, The Creative PhD: Challenges, Opportunities, Reflections, released by Emerald Publishing in May 2020. Tiffany is MEAA's National Vice President (Equity Section).
