In the third part of this series this interactive workshop will focus on your audiobook narration career as a small business, and how narrators can create opportunities for themselves instead of just waiting for emails from casting directors. There’s so much you can do to be proactive, and we’ll explore a full menu of options including:

• Understanding how narrators fit into the publishing industry and how to connect to communities of interest around your desired genres/authors/clients.
• Researching book-related events of all kinds, how to choose which to attend and how to leverage them into more work.
• Understanding the world of the self-published author and how you can collaborate with authors on their audiobook production.
• Which rosters, platforms and events you should know about to connect with work in the American market (yes, we need Australian voices!).
